About Talking Matters
Would you like support to develop your child's communication and learning? Would you like to be able book an appointment immediately to see a speech pathologist and after an initial assessment, choose from a range of individual and group therapy options designed to meet your child's needs? Talking Matters is a private speech pathology practice located at 53 Midway Road, Elizabeth East in Adelaide, South Australia. We are located adjacent to the supermarket in the Elizabeth East Shopping Centre. We provide assessment, individual and group therapy sessions in our offices and in some schools with whom we have arrangements. Our programs are individually tailored to each child's unique needs and include fun activities for parents to practice at home.
Our team consists of 5 speech pathologists, speech assistants, teachers and an administrative assistant. We also have visiting consultants who provide services from our rooms. Currently these are an occupational therapist and a psychologist. Our staff provide individual and small group speech therapy sessions, working with children from two to twelve years. They are experienced in working with children with speech, language, stuttering and learning difficulties including: developmental delay, speech and language delays and disorders, autism and Asperger's Syndrome, dyslexia, auditory processing disorder and Downs Syndrome.
