Therapy
Does your child need support to develop communication, play, fine motor or social skills? At Talking Matters we know each child is unique and can provide a range of therapy options targeted to each child's specific needs.
Children with Autism and Asperger's Syndrome benefit from therapy to develop their communication and language skills, social and play skills, and fine motor skills. All speech pathologists at Talking Matters have experience in working with children on the autism spectrum and can offer therapy tailored to a child's individual language, communication and literacy needs. We also have occupational therapists working from our offices who can offer therapy for play skills, fine motor skills and sensory issues.
For more information on Talking Matters fees, see the information provided here at Therapy Fees. We are happy to work with clients on the Autism Initiative through Medicare if the child is under the care of a paediatrician or psychiatrist who has indicated to Medicare that the child has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Talking Matters is now also a provider on the early intervention panel for the Helping Children with Autism package through FAHCSIA. This means that eligible families can now access therapy services from Talking Matters professionals using their funding package.
